Storage Conveyors by DGS: Optimize Cold Stores

Storage conveyors are essential for optimizing your cold store. They reduce manual labor and enhance workflow efficiency. With DGS storage conveyors, you can automate the process, increasing productivity and simplifying operations.

  • Reduced need for manpower
  • Fully automated process from destination lane
  • No manual intervention required during retrieval

DGS storage conveyors are designed for ease of use and quality. We offer two options: the walking beam and the miniconveyor. Our storage conveyors are available in galvanized steel or stainless steel. With various hook distances and drive options, you can tailor the system to your specific needs.

Underneath the walking beams and miniconveyors, a tube rail is mounted. These tubes are available in various configurations, including galvanized steel tube rails (1.5” or 2”), plastic tubes (1.5” or 2”), bi-rail (twin track), or flat rail.

    Miniconveyor

The miniconveyor is a compact vertical conveyor with an electric motor that automatically transports the hooks to the storage lane. Upon output, the conveyor rotates automatically until the lane is empty. Thanks to the fixed position of the hooks, precise positioning is guaranteed, offering benefits for traceability. The miniconveyor can be manufactured from galvanized steel or stainless steel, with a chain made of nickel-plated steel. The hook spacing (center-to-center) ranges from 175 to 507 mm.

    Walking Beam

The walking beam is a pneumatically or hydraulically driven beam with carriers that move back and forth through a profile. As the carriers are foldable, the hooks slide past them when the beam moves forward. During the backward movement, the carrier folds over the preceding hook, and during the subsequent forward movement, this hook is taken again, enabling the walking beam to move constantly back and forth. This method is not only cost-effective but also highly efficient in automatically filling the storage lane. The walking beam can be made of galvanized steel or stainless steel, with carrier spacing (center-to-center) ranging from 250 to 750 mm.
