Filling vertical plate freezers with a pump

Using a pump to fill plate freezers enables fast and precise dosing of separator meat, mechanically deboned meat, and other pumpable products. This method minimizes waste and facilitates easy and safe palletizing and logistics due to uniform blocks. Various layouts are possible, including combinations with hoppers or other filling systems. Additionally, the system is easy to clean and maintain.

  • Filling at fixed block weight
  • Option to combine with hoppers or other filling systems

    Automatic Unloading and Palletizing

After the freezing process is completed, the frozen blocks need to be removed from the freezers. Unloading the vertical freezer can be done in various ways, from manual to fully automated.

Manually, the operator can remove the blocks from the freezer and place them on a conveyor belt that transports them to the robot palletizer. Another option is to use an overhead crane equipped with a gripper capable of lifting an entire sheet of frozen content and placing it on a block table. From there, the blocks are led to the robot palletizer via a conveyor system. At DGS, we offer various solutions, from filling to palletizing, to ensure an efficient and hygienic process.
