Automatic loading and sorting with Pick & Place

Pick & place robots are ideally suited for automating monotonous operations in the production process. For instance, they can move and sort products, but also load them into different types of packaging. First of all, we develop tray loaders to deposit products in the packaging. For this, we develop product-specific grippers.

Our case packers can load packed products in different packaging types. For example, they are compatible with tray, flowpack and vacuum packs. In addition, they are suitable for loading in both cartons and crates of different sizes. In our lines, we use Vision camera technology as standard. This AI system helps the pick & place robot by taking a picture of the product being fed to determine its position. The robot also recognises the product’s centre of gravity so it knows where to pick up the product. This minimises the risk of errors and the need for manual intervention.
